ANCIENT WORDS
Psalm 119:18
Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law.
One of the best things I've ever discovered on my hunts is a few ancient stone tools and partial arrowheads. I'm fascinated by the way of life back in the day.
It amazes me that words written 4,000 years ago still can speak to us today. No matter how many times I read passages they speak to me and often they will open my eyes to different needs at different times.
A few days ago I was talking to a friend who was telling me that he reads my devotions when they first come out and he's spoken to in one way and then he’ll read it again a few days later and he gets something completely different out of it.
In all honesty, it has little to do with my writing, but in God's word. All I do is allow the Lord to direct my life applications. Everything I write is based on His word.
There is a Michael W. Smith song that explains pretty well about God's ancient words and how we allow them to speak to us
ANCIENT WORDS
"Words of Life, words of Hope
Give us strength, help us cope
In this world, where e'er we roam
Ancient words will guide us home
[Chorus:]
Ancient words ever true
Changing me and changing you
We have come with open hearts
Oh, let the ancient words impart
Holy words of our Faith
Handed down to this age
Came to us through sacrifice
Oh heed the faithful words of Christ
Holy words long preserved
For our walk in this world
They resound with God's own heart
Oh let the ancient words impart"
Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
Allow God's Word to speak to you and direct your life.
