Our Trail

The dream of most boys that grew up in a hunting family over the last century would be to be able to one day make a living hunting and fishing in the woods and on the streams, mountains, rivers, lakes, and oceans of this nation. Dean, his wife Linda, and their family have had that dream come true. Dean has 50 years of hunting, fishing, and outdoor experiences, as well as 35 years of guiding experience, from the mountains of Kodiak Island, Alaska, to coastal Florida, from the Colorado Rockies to the Texas Brush Country, and many places in between.

For the last 25 years, Dean has written many national and regional magazine and newspaper articles about hunting. For the last ½ of that time, his daily devotionals have gone out to thousands each day on Facebook and via email. He has also published five books of devotionals related to hunting and the outdoors. Dean has appeared on numerous television outdoor programs, hunting videos, and podcasts.

When offered the position of Host for the God’s Great Outdoors Radio program, Dean’s mother said, “God has prepared you for this ministry since the day you were born.” We believe that to be true.
