YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER

Deuteronomy 11:18
"You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes."

My dad had a deer stand that he hunted on opening day, year after year, for many many years.  That stand was in a narrows at the beginning of the thick sanctuary of an 80 acre peninsula.  Most years he took a buck from that spot on the first day of season.  I remember one buck in particular that he took in 1973 with a wide unusual point rack that tried to sneak past into the safety of the peninsula (I still have that rack).  Bucks had learned that when pressured they could find safety in that place... it didn't change for decades... it was always the same.

After the first day or two of season he would change locations, to other places that had proved themselves in the past.  However, every year he would be back on the old burned out stump come opening day.   You could always count on that place producing year after year after year.   It was hard work to get to his stand, and harder to get a buck out... always in a canoe paddled up and down a river... but it was always worth it.

Ronald Reagan once said, "within the cover of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face".

It doesn't matter if you are right wing, left wing or somewhere in between, This is so true.

God didn't inspire the writing of the bible for His sake, it was to direct the lives of the billions of people that would come after.  Even today it answers the questions of life.  Those that say it has no meaning in today's world, aren't reading it.

I challenge you today.  Consider what you are struggling with in life and google those words along with the word scripture...  Then start reading.  You will find wisdom and direction that will answer the questions that you have for the problems of today.

All of the "self help" books, put together, cannot answer the issues of our lives like the Word of God can.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 says this,
"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun."... God has already covered it.

Spending time in God's word will give you direction when you face tough situations.  Check it out and make it a habit.
