WIRELESS FROM THE BEGINNING

Jeremiah 33:3
Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

I remember well the first times my boys went out to hunt on their own and the anxiety it caused me, wondering if their were OK on their own.  lt was a scary time for me as I waited all day to find out that things were fine.  At the time there was no cell service, no messaging, no texting...  you just waited with no idea what was happening.  We tried walkie talkies after a while but they never really worked either.

The Bible has many scriptures that speak of calling out to God.  He tells us to call on Him when we're in need and it tells us to come to Him with our hurts and desires.

Really the very first wireless connections didn't come from Verizon or AT&T... they came from God Himself.  Even Jonah had "service" in the depths of the sea... and he called out to God.

Jonah 2:2
and he said, "I called out of my distress to the Lord, And He answered me. I called for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice.

I've heard people say that God doesn't want to hear about our little problems...  but that's not true.  I believe that God wants to hear about every aspect of our life.  He wants to have a constant connection with us.

What am amazing thing to think that God that created the universe and everything in it wants to hear from me.  If you doubt that consider that this same God loved us enough to send His only Son to be tortured and die for you and me.  If He loves enough for that, then what makes us think He doesn't want to hear from us all the time.

Have you reached out to Him today yet?
