WRITING YOUR BOOK
Isaiah 43:18-19
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
As we pass the threshold from the past year to the new year we look ahead, not knowing what we are looking at just yet. Each day will be an exciting adventure, trusting God has control, as long as we allow Him to take it.
There are many "sayings" related to bringing in a new year... A couple of my favorites are from country singer Brad Paisley and novelist Lucy Maude Montgomery...
Brad wrote...
"Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 paged book, write a good one.
And In Anne of Green Gables, Lucy wrote, "Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?"
What kind of book will you write for 2016? A Godly book with reliance on Him?
Life is so short, we don't know if we have any years past 2024 or if we do, how many we have left. We only know that we have one "page" at a time to write. Today will be that first "page" of the year. I challenge you to start 2024 out strong with God's leading and directing... Then write each page like it might be your last. Fill the page with love, joy and a hunger to grow closer to your Lord...
He desires to grow closer to you!
