A CHOICE TO REJOICE...

Mark 3:2-6

Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath. 3 Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Stand up in front of everyone."  4 Then Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they remained silent.  5 He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. 6 Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.

Recently Michigan  had their annual youth deer hunt weekend, as they do every year.  There are 1000's of very blessed young hunters that are able to hunt with a parent, or other, and experience a great outdoor opportunity that will last a lifetime in the hearts and minds of both the youngster and mentor alike.

Let's throw out the arguments about "shooting bucks or does", "taking out the best gene pools" and many other opinions of many people here in Michigan... it is a special time and special experience. I've experienced awesome times with kids and heard of many many more. Unfortunately  each and every year I hear so many people argue with children concerning eliminating this opportunity... mostly for selfish reasons...  what a shame

Likewise what a shame, that something so beautiful in Christ's time was done and all the Jews that saw it just looked at "the bad".  In our world today there are so many skeptical people that just look for a negative in everything.  We all do it sometimes.  We want to bring others down to our level of misery.

Let's try to look at the hand that was restored and not the manmade rule that we think was bent.  Let's rejoice in the life that was restored and not look at the sin that has already been forgiven.

We can love and encourage or we can live in the negative and destroy life and hope... Its really our choice.  Choose wisely.
