GOD'S PLAN IS FAR GREATER

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made every thing beautiful in his time: also he has set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end.

My brother Dave and I have hunted together for many years.  When I was 12 years old, I sat with him and watched him shoot a nice point buck that was chasing a doe.  That was 50 years ago and we've hunted together hundreds of times since.  We generally hunt together very well.

One thing I've noticed over the years is that when we elk guide together we often hunt differently.   If we see bull elk in the distance or hear a bull bugle somewhere close it's my reaction to want to charge in after the bull...  that's how my mind works, make a plan and move quickly.   On the other hand Dave  will watch and listen carefully and allow things to materialize before moving...  sometimes my system works and sometimes Dave's system works...  both ways depends on making a plan and implementing that plan with confidence.

In life there we need to realize that God's plans are far better than our own.  When we think we've got everything figured out and planned, God shows us a different and ultimately better way. What do we do when God changes our plans, goals, future etc?  Sometimes we complain, sometimes we grumble, cry, worry.  But the right response is, "God you know what you are doing, I will follow."

Romans 8:28 is a great example of how we can trust God's timing.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

Recently I had something happen that shook me a little.  It really didn't effect me personally, but some great Christian friends.   My first thoughts were to worry about the situation.  There had been months of planning, and loads of work put into the situation...  But God had a different plan.  Their response to me was what God expects of us. "God has a plan and it will be fine".

Many of the conflicts in our world today come from not waiting on God's promises and His plans... Adam eating from the tree in the garden, Samson not following God's instructions, Abraham not waiting on God and sleeping with Sarah's servant etc...  all of these affected the lives of these people as well as many others.

When we forgo God's plans and push through with our own, we are in for a tough road in life.  We can rest assured that God's plans are always the right plans.  He knows the beginning and the end... His plans are always perfect.  When we spend time growing close to Him we will find that more often our plans and God's plans become one.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

We know that God's plans and  timing are always best.  Trust Him and see His plans succeed.
