LIVING INTO OUR CALLING
Exodus 3:10-14
So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."
11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"
12 And God said, "I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain."
13 Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, `The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, `What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?"
14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: `I AM has sent me to you.'"
I remember the first day I ever guided for money. Oh, I had taken many people out hunting, but now there was money that exchanged hands... it was a whole new pressure on me. I was shook up a little, but I tried hard not to show it. That very first day ever turkey guiding God blessed my hunter and me with a state record nontypical gobbler and I was off and running.
That was 36 years ago. And I've never looked back. I didn't think I was ready, I didn't know that I had what it takes, but I pressed on. God directed me along the way and help me up 1000's of times... and He allowed me to fall on my face a few times. Looking back to 1988, I can see His work in all of it.
As we look forward to the end of our productive years and today towards, what I believe to be the end of the end times, we can see that there is work to be done. There is a calling, preparation and production.
God has given every individual that comes to Him with a calling, if you don't know what yours is, then start asking God to show you. He will show you. Than He will provide all you to do that Job.
We think of Moses as a spiritual giant as we read Scripture... but we need to remember that he was no different than you and me. In the scripture above we read that God called Moses and Moses was fearful of the calling. He was no different than you. But God was faithful and He got him through the hard times... He'll do the same for you, as He's done the same for me.
What's your calling? Are.you living into it? Are you working it out and allowing God to use you for His purposes? Remember, God had a calling on each of our lives and when we live it out, we are blessed beyond our imagination. When we push it aside, we will struggle day after day.
Ask and God will give you all you need. If you aren't a little out of your comfort zone... you probably aren't growing into what God has for you to do.
