UNDENIABLE EVIDENCE

Matthew 27:54
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God."

There was a spot, that we had found on a topographical map high in the Rocky Mountains, on a bench just below a ridge top.  Each time we looked at the map we felt that there should be elk there.  Everything appeared to be right, heavy timber, a spring and a place for elk to lay and smell the thermal drift from below.  It looked perfect... but all too often, things seem to good to be true.

Then came the day when we finally were in Colorado and took the time to go and see for ourselves.  All of maps seemed right but until we investigated it, we wouldn't know for sure.

When we snuck up to that bench, we could smell the smell of elk, especially rutting bull elk... it smells like spruce needles mixed with urine and musk, a wonderful smell to an elk hunter.  As we examined the area there were big antler rubs where trees had been shredded and branches ripped off the trunk.  There were muddy wallows in every damp spot and frwsh elk tracks everywhere.

We killed bulls there and it was a place you could always fine elk.  We could read a map and others could tell us that this was a place that should hold elk, but until we went and looked at the evidence for ourselves we couldn't be sure.  When we checked it out, the evidence approved right.

Thomas, a disciple of Christ had been with Him for three years.  He had heard everything that Jesus had taught and seen miracles preformed by Him.  Yet, until He saw the risen Savior,  he struggled with full belief.

John 20:26–29
Eight days later His disciples were again inside, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be to you." 27 Then He said to Thomas, "Place your finger here, and see My hands; and take your hand and put it into My side; and do not continue in disbelief, but be a believer." 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."

Another person that heard and doubted was the best and most successful lawyer that ever lived was Sir Lionel Luckhoo.  He practiced law around the world in the mid 1900's.  He had 245 consecutive successful defenses in murder cases.

It was said that Sir Lionel was a very humble man. Meeting him, it would seem unlikely that he was knighted twice by the Queen of England.  However, in spite of all his fame, court success, power and abundant wealth he was empty inside. The older he got the more meaningless life appeared. He said, "I had no peace." Then at age 63 he heard about the resurrection of Jesus. He had been an atheist to this point in life and had no reason to believe.... He needed proof.  He personally checked it out using his legal skills.

After years of research this is what he said, "I say unequivocally the evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is so overwhelming that it compels acceptance by proof which leaves absolutely no room for doubt."

He found that the message of Jesus' resurrection satisfied not only his heart but his mind. He gave his life to Jesus. He said the transformation was immediate. It's the resurrection and its power we will celebrate on Easter Sunday.

Have you questioned if all this you've heard could be real?  Look for yourself.  Ask God to show you the evidence.  Then accept what has been offered to you, a place in the very family of God, a true son or daughter of the Holy God that created all things.

Search out the truth you will find there is UNDENIABLE EVIDENCE.
