WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE
1 Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
We've been so blessed to travel all over North America and see some amazing places. Each place has its own beauty. One of the most unlikely places of beauty are the pasture lands of southern Florida. I love the mornings when everything is completely shrouded in a think blanket of fog. Fog so think you have a hard time finding your way. Then, as the sun rises up, the fog lifts the illuminated palms and green pastures glow. It is beautiful.
This past week we all saw a horrendous act of a young man as he attempted to take the life of a past president of our country. The whole country saw it nearly live as it played and replayed over and over again.
In the last 10 years or so we've seen some drastic changes in our country. Same sex marriage has been judged as acceptable, we've made treaties with our enemies, some states have approved of the killing of babies at deliver, men competing in woman's sports and being allowed in their locker rooms... and so much more...
All this makes it easy to get drawn in & side-tracked by everything going on in our world today. We can easily get discouraged and down with all that is so rapidly changing... and not changing for the better. So it's time for a reality check; GOD is still on the throne & still in control from a heavenly place!! For a while yet, He may be allowing Satan an earthly reign, but even then, He has allowed that.
With all the religious views, tolerances, & expanded beliefs in everything from spiritism, to witchcraft, to the 'New Age' stuff, Christians out there need to be reminded that prayer is our most powerful tool and we need to be praying for the lost; GOD uses us to reach others, and our lives & attitudes should be an example to those who both know Christ & to those who do not know Him.
We need to be careful of our own 'tolerance levels' and remember that we're merely tools & vessels in the hand of an all powerful GOD, who will soon open the heavens & put this sinful world under His feet.
There is no need for worry,. Worry only steals our joy and takes our focus off of the One who is in charge of all. One day soon we will see clearly as God reveals His beautiful plan to all people.... Until that time we must not be swayed by what is happening around us in a sinful world. We must remain confident that our God has not abandoned us, He is still on the Throne and He will remain there for all time. One day soon He will take back this world from Satan and his fallen angles and we will then see God's glory revealed in our world. What a day that will be.
As the sun exposed the beauty through the fog this morning, one day soon the SON will put an end to Satan reign and reveal His eternal beauty and put an end to the worldly nonsense that is happening around us now. Until that time we wait patiently for the fog to lift and His glory to be revealed to all men and women.
Truly, What a day that will be...
